Duplex Ball Valves are grouped by material rather than by a single valve construction. The correct valve can be floating, trunnion mounted, top entry, fully welded or DBB depending on the service.
Material designation does not define the complete valve
A duplex ball valve combines the named body material with a separate selection for ball, stem, seat, seals, bolting and packing. Corrosion resistance, impact toughness, sour-service requirements and design temperature must be reviewed as a complete material system.

Material choice should be verified against the piping class and project material specification. Casting or forging route, heat treatment, PMI, NDE and traceability requirements should be stated in the RFQ when they are mandatory.
